Coaching centre case: Delhi HC pulls up officials
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court today pulled up the authorities over the death of three civil services aspirants due to waterlogging in the basement of a coaching centre building here, saying it was natural for such tragedies to happen when taxes are not collected due to the culture of distributing freebies.
A bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan Singh and Justice Tushar Rao said a “strange investigation” was going on in which police action has been taken against the driver of the car passing near the coaching centre but not against the officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
