Congress councillor Gurbaksh Rawat joins BJP ahead of Chandigarh mayoral polls

Chandigarh: In a setback to the Congress ahead of the Chandigarh mayoral elections, Gurbaksh Rawat, councillor of Ward 27 in the Municipal Corporation, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday.

Rawat was inducted into the BJP in the presence of Chandigarh BJP president Jatinder Pal Malhotra and senior leader Sanjay Tandon at the party office, Kamalam, in Sector 33.
