Congress has always been anti-backward classes: Amit Shah
Mahendragarh: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the Sammelan of Backward Classes Sammelan in Haryana, targeted the Congress party. He said the opposition party has always been against the backward classes.
Referring to the Kaka Kalekar Commission, set up in 1950 to provide reservation to backward classes (OBCs), he said the Congress did not implement its recommendations for years and in 1980, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had put it in cold storage.
