Congress urges PM Modi to convene all-party meeting after Trump’s India-Pakistan ceasefire announcement

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal welcomed the India-Pakistan ceasefire but warned that peace would not hold unless Pakistan prevented cross-border terrorism.
“I congratulate both sides, because war ultimately results in loss of life and destruction of property. However, Pakistan must also understand that they cannot allow terrorists to cross the Line of Control from their territory and target innocent civilians,” Sibal said.
Following US President Donald Trump’s announcement on the ceasefire, the Congress party demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi convene an all-party meeting and take political parties into confidence.
