Crucial meeting of BJP leadership before forming government
New Delhi: Senior BJP leaders, including Union ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, met today to discuss the future course of action as the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched efforts to form the government.
The meeting is being held at the residence of BJP president JP Nadda.
According to party leaders, other issues, including the participation of NDA partners in the future cabinet, are being discussed in the meeting.
NDA MPs are likely to meet on Friday in which Narendra Modi will be formally elected as the leader. Modi is likely to take oath as prime minister later this week.
