Customs department seizes 45 iPhone 16s at Delhi airport

New Delhi: Customs officials at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here have seized 45 iPhone 16s from five passengers who were allegedly trying to smuggle into India.

In a post on X, the Delhi Customs said 37 iPhone 16 mobile phones worth around Rs 44 lakh were seized from a passenger travelling from Washington to Delhi on Air India flight AI 104.

Apart from this, 08 more iPhone-16s have been found from 4 passengers traveling from Hong Kong.

Earlier this month, customs officials had seized 42 iPhone 16 Pro Max from five passengers in separate incidents.
