Defamation case: Rahul Gandhi asked to appear before court
New Delhi: A special court of MPs and MLAs has directed Rahul Gandhi to appear before it on July 26 in connection with his remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi was asked to appear on July 2.
Advocate Kashi Prasad Shukla said that Rahul Gandhi could not appear in the court due to the Lok Sabha session, due to which the next date of hearing has been sought.
In 2018, a defamation case was filed against Rahul Gandhi by BJP leader Vijay Mishra for his alleged objectionable remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
