Delhi becomes world’s most polluted capital again, Bihar’s Begusarai most polluted metropolitan area

New Delhi: Begusarai in Bihar has become the most polluted metropolitan area in the world, while Delhi has been recorded as the capital city with the worst air quality.

According to the World Air Quality Report 2023 by Swiss organization IQAir, India ranks third among the countries with the worst air. Bangladesh is in the first place and Pakistan is in the second place.

According to the World Health Organization, about 70 people worldwide die prematurely every year due to air pollution.

Air pollution can cause many other diseases, including asthma, cancer, stroke and lung diseases.
