Delhi government announces Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, women to receive Rs 2,500 per month
New Delhi: The Delhi government has launched the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, offering Rs 2,500 per month to women in the city.
The scheme was announced by BJP president J P Nadda during a function at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Earlier in the day, the Delhi Cabinet approved the plan in a morning meeting.
According to official data, Delhi has 72 lakh women voters. The scheme was introduced as a special initiative on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
