Delhi High Court to pronounce order on Manish Sisodia’s interim bail today
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court will pronounce on Monday its order on the six-week interim bail plea of Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy scam. He has sought bail to take care of his ailing wife.
The court of Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma will pronounce the verdict on Manish Sisodia’s bail plea. The former Delhi deputy chief minister has sought interim bail on the ground that he is the sole caretaker of his ailing wife.
Sisodia, who was arrested on March 9 in the case, is lodged in Tihar Jail
The Delhi High Court had on Saturday reserved its verdict on Sisodia’s six-week interim bail plea and sought a report from the LNJP Hospital on the health condition of Sisodia’s wife Seema.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had opposed the request for interim bail, saying Sisodia could tamper with evidence. This may hamper the investigation of the case, so the AAP leader should not be granted bail.
