Delhi liquor policy case: ED summons Sanjay Singh’s close aides Sarvesh Mishra and Vivek Tyagi
New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has started cracking down on close aides of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The ED has summoned Sarvesh Mishra and Vivek Tyagi, considered close to Sanjay Singh, for questioning.
Sanjay Singh was arrested by the ED on Wednesday. After this, he was presented in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, where the court held that the arrest of Sanjay Singh by the ED was not unreasonable or illogical.
The court has sent Sanjay Singh to 5-day ED remand. “The arrest of Sanjay Singh by the ED is not unreasonable or illogical,” the court said during the hearing.
Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is already in jail in connection with the case. Dinesh Arora, a businessman considered close to Sisodia, was an accused in a money laundering case linked to the alleged scam. He later became a government witness. “In return, one of Singh’s associates/team members, Vivek Tyagi, was given a stake in the commercial company of Amit Arora i.e. Aralyas Hospitality Private Limited,” it said.
