Delhi Police stops AAP from gherao BJP headquarters
New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Saturday stopped the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from gheraoing the BJP headquarters. The police said the AAP did not take necessary permissions for the gherao.
The AAP had called for a gherao of the BJP headquarters at 11.30 am today to protest against chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest in a money laundering case related to excise policy.
A senior police officer said other arrangements, including barricading, were made to prevent the protesters from moving towards the BJP office.
