Displeasure notice issued to Haryana Revenue officer over CM Window complaint negligence; clarification sought

Chandigarh: Additional Principal Secretary to the Haryana Chief Minister, Dr. Saket Kumar, has directed that a displeasure note be issued to a senior officer of the Revenue Department for negligence in addressing complaints received through the Haryana Jan Samvad portal, CM Window, and SMGT platform.

The Nodal Officer of SMGT within the Revenue Department has also been asked to submit an explanation at the earliest for the delay in resolving pending grievances.

A recent departmental review revealed a large backlog of unresolved complaints at both headquarters and district levels, with no effective monitoring or regular review being conducted at the district level.

In light of the seriousness of the situation, Dr. Kumar announced that a separate review meeting focused exclusively on the Revenue Department will be convened soon to examine the status of pending cases in detail.

Meanwhile, a clarification has also been sought from the Chief Engineer of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department (CEBWUS) regarding 745 unresolved cases listed on the Jan Samvad portal.

Strict warnings were issued to officials from the Ambala and Yamunanagar circles, instructing them to ensure timely resolution of district-level complaints.

During the review meeting, key issues related to construction and repair works, water supply, and flood control were discussed.

These included the upkeep of canals, drains, minors, bridges, and roads, as well as plans for the beautification of ponds and improved water regulation for village ponds and water works.
