Drone attack foiled in Jammu and Kashmir amid blackout and cross-border firing

Jammu: Tensions escalated between India and Pakistan after a drone attack from Pakistan targeted Jammu and Kashmir late Wednesday night. According to Indian security forces, the attack was successfully foiled by air defence systems.

Following the attempted drone strike, sirens were sounded across several regions, including Jammu and Kupwara, leading to widespread blackouts. Reports suggest there was an attempt to target the Jammu airport, though no damage has been reported.

Heavy firing was also reported from across the international border, further heightening the situation. A video of the drone attack has surfaced online, intensifying concerns over the brewing conflict.

Authorities have asked citizens in affected areas to stay indoors as a precautionary measure. Security forces remain on high alert amid what is being seen as a developing war-like situation between the two countries.
