ED raids probe into tender scam in Jharkhand, recovers crores from minister’s secretary

New Delhi: The ED is taking major action in the tender commission scam case in the Rural Development Ministry of Jharkhand. A case of money laundering was registered in this case.

After which 6 locations have been raided under PMLA. The premises of Sanjeev Lal, personal secretary of Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Alam Gir, were searched in which 25 crore cash has been recovered.

During the search, cash was recovered from the premises, which is being counted. The ED had arrested Jharkhand Rural Development Department’s chief engineer Virendra Ram in February 2023 in a money laundering case related to alleged irregularities in the implementation of certain schemes.

The ED team has recovered Rs 25 crore cash from the house of the domestic help of Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam’s private secretary Sanjeev Lal in connection with the arrested engineer Virendra Ram’s case.

The ED had arrested Jharkhand Rural Development Department chief engineer Virendra Ram in February 2023 in a money laundering case linked to alleged irregularities in the implementation of certain schemes.
