‘Entire opposition could not win as many seats as BJP won,’ says PM Modi after Lok Sabha results
New Delhi: The results of the Lok Sabha Election Result 2024 have been cleared to a great extent. Counting of votes was held for 542 of the 543 seats. In the trends, the BJP-led NDA is beyond 290. But the BJP alone is far from a majority.
The majority mark in the Lok Sabha is 272. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the BJP workers.
PM Modi said, “The NDA government is set to be formed for the third time in the country. For this, I am indebted to the countrymen. This is the victory of developed India,” PM Modi said, “There are many aspects of this mandate. This is the first time since 1962 that a government has returned to power for the third consecutive term after completing two terms,” he said.
Regarding the alliance of opposition parties, PM Modi said, “The entire alliance could not win as many seats as the BJP won.”
