Farmers’ agitation: Farmer leaders to take final decision on Centre’s offer by today evening
Chandigarh: The farmer leaders have said that they will announce their decision on the Centre’s proposal by Monday evening.
After the fourth round of talks between Union ministers and farmer leaders in Chandigarh on Sunday night, the government has offered to buy five crops at the minimum support price.
The crops that the government has proposed to procure at assured MSP are three pulses, cotton and maize.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said, “As of now, we are going to Khanauri where the farmer died on Sunday during the protest. Farmer leaders will visit his village and then we will return to Shambhu in the evening and announce our decision on the government’s proposal.”
