Farmers’ march to Delhi postponed today, to form new strategy tomorrow
Chandigarh: After rejecting the proposal from the central government, the farmers were determined to march to Delhi today. To facilitate this, heavy machinery such as hydraulic cranes, JCBs, and bulletproof proclain have been brought to the Shambhu border. Unfortunately, a farmer has reportedly died due to gunfire at the Khanauri border.
On a different note, farmers have decided to postpone their march to Delhi until Wednesday. They plan to devise a new strategy on Thursday.
Haryana Police has stated via Twitter that protesters surrounded the police by scattering chili powder in the stubble at the Data Singh-Khanauri border.
Subsequently, they attacked the officers with sticks and stones. Approximately 12 policemen have sustained serious injuries. The Haryana Police urges protesters to uphold peace.
