Farmers meet Haryana officials ahead of Prime Minister’s visit
Chandigarh: Farmer leaders held a late evening meeting with Haryana officials at Rajpura to discuss issues related to the ongoing Delhi Chalo march.
Haryana officials sought a day’s time to deliberate on the matter in light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Haryana on December 9.
Sarwan Singh Pandher, who returned to the Shambhu border after the meeting, stated that Ambala Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta and Superintendent of Police Surinder Singh represented Haryana during the discussions.
Senior Punjab officials, including Patiala DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu, SSP Dr. Nanak Singh, and ADC Anupriya Kaur Johal, were also present.
Officials assured farmer leaders that further detailed talks would be held after the Prime Minister’s visit to address their concerns comprehensively.
