Farmers’ protest: Police tighten security on Shambhu border, tear gas shells fired on the crowd
New Delhi: After the lack of agreement between the Center and the farmers, the farmers have started marching to Delhi. The police fired tear gas shells on the crowd of farmers gathered at the Shambhu border from Fetehgarh Saheb, after which there was chaos.
In view of the farmers’ protest, tremendous security arrangements have already been made on the border of Delhi.
All the borders coming to Delhi have been sealed. A large number of police forces have been deployed at the Singhu border, Tikri border and Ghazipur border.
Apart from barbed wire, police have also put up barricades, large cement blocks, containers and other barricades. Apart from setting up a control room at the Singhu border, the police have also installed CCTV cameras.
The area is also being monitored with the help of drones. The police have also conducted mock drills several times. Section 144 is also in force in Delhi till 12 March. Delhi Police has also issued advisory regarding coming from these borders.
