20-year-old farmer killed, two seriously injured in clash with Haryana Police at Khanauri border
Chandigarh: A 20-year-old farmer, identified as Shubhkaran Singh, a resident of Bathinda district, was killed in a clash between farmers and Haryana Police at Khanauri border today.
According to preliminary information, the cause of his death is a rubber bullet fired by the Haryana Police. The body has been kept at the Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala as he was brought to Patiala after being seriously injured during the incident but died on arrival here.
Apart from this, two other farmers have been injured, who have also been sent to Rajinder Hospital Patiala.
The injured have been identified as Simranjit Singh, a resident of Seron village in Sangrur and Jugraj Singh, a resident of Bhutal Khurd village under Lehra Gaga police station.
