Farmers to meet Rahul Gandhi in Delhi today to raise their pending issues
New Delhi: Farmers advocating for a legal guarantee of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops are likely to meet with opposition leader Rahul Gandhi today.
The meeting is expected to take place in Parliament in the afternoon, according to information provided by farmer leaders.
The farmers are demanding that opposition party leaders propose a legal guarantee for the MSP of crops during the monsoon session.
To support their demands, the farmers have submitted letters to all Members of Parliament, excluding 240 MPs from the BJP. Shiromani Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal has prepared and submitted a private member’s bill on this issue.
Previously, farmers organized the Delhi Kisan Mazdoor National Convention on July 22 in Delhi, where they outlined the details of their struggle. Following this event, leaders from various parties met with the farmers.
