Fire at Tamil Nadu hospital claims seven lives
New Delhi: A devastating fire broke out at a private hospital in Bones district, Tamil Nadu, late tonight, resulting in the death of seven people.
Initial reports suggest the fire was triggered by a short circuit on the ground floor, which quickly spread to the upper levels of the building.
According to television reports, the victims succumbed to suffocation caused by the thick smoke that engulfed the hospital.
Among the deceased are three women, three men, and a child. Emergency services, including 50 fire tenders and multiple ambulances, were immediately dispatched to the scene.
