First batch of 4,603 pilgrims leave for Amarnath Yatra

New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today flagged off the first batch of 4,603 pilgrims from the Yatri Niwas base camp in Bhagwati Nagar for the Amarnath Yatra.

Amid chants of ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’, the first batch of pilgrims left for Baltal in north Kashmir and Anantnag in south Kashmir amid tight security.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha prayed for the safe passage of pilgrims to the pilgrims.
