Former Indian cricket team captain Bishan Singh Bedi passes away at 77

Punjab E News: Former Indian cricket team captain Bishan Singh Bedi has passed away. Bishan Singh Bedi was 77 years old and he was team India’s greatest spinner in the last century. Bishan Singh was born on 25 September 1946 in Amritsar, Punjab. Bishan Singh Bedi made his Test debut for India in 1966 and he proved to be the biggest match-winner for Team India for the next 13 years. 
       Before retiring in 1979, Bishan Singh Bedi played 67 Test matches and took 266 wickets at an impressive average of 28.71. During this time he was the highest wicket-taker from India.
