Former MLA Balkaur Singh ready to quit BJP to join Congress
Chandigarh: Former MLA Balkaur Singh on Saturday resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party in Haryana and is planning to join the Congress. Submitting his resignation to BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli, Balkaur Singh said that despite supporting the party in difficult times, he has not received the respect and respect he deserves in the party.
“I have worked diligently for the party and kept the BJP flag flying high in difficult circumstances, yet I have not been honoured in the organisation or government post,” the former MLA said.
He also criticised BJP candidate Rajendra Desujodha, saying former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar had levelled serious allegations against the candidate in 2019.
Talking about curbing drug peddling in the state and confiscation of properties of drug smugglers, he said no action has been taken against the candidate. Now let’s see how the property of the candidate who has been made is investigated.
Balkaur Singh is all set to join the Congress party in Delhi today.
“Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja, I along with my supporters will go to Delhi to join the Congress and continue to serve the people,” he said.
