Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi elected leader of youth wing of Bishnoi community

Chandigarh: Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who has been named in 85 cases, including murders in Punjab, Mumbai and Canada, has been unanimously elected as the youth wing chief of the All India Bishnoi Animal Protection Society.

He was selected at a meeting of the Bishnoi community in Abohar on Tuesday evening.

According to the appointment certificate issued by Inderpal Bishnoi, the head of the Bishnoi Samaj, Lawrence Bishnoi has been entrusted with the task of ensuring the protection of animals in accordance with the principles of Bishnoi society.

Lawrence’s uncle Ramesh Bishnoi said in a video message that the Bishnoi community had specifically demanded the appointment of Lawrence Bishnoi.

The certificate states that it will be his responsibility as the national head to carry forward the work and responsibility of protecting animals and the environment.

He will protect the legacy of Amrita Devi and 363 Bishnois who sacrificed their lives to save the khijari trees in Rajasthan in the 18th century.
