Gold, silver, cancer medicines become cheaper, know what became expensive in the budget

New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her seventh budget. The common man has high expectations for this budget. In this budget, the Finance Minister made many significant announcements.

In her major announcements, the Finance Minister said that mobile phones will be cheaper. Cancer medication has also become less expensive. The cost of lithium-ion batteries has been reduced, which means that electric vehicles could also become cheaper. Additionally, the cost of imported jewelry has been reduced.

 

Cheaper:

– Custom discounts on three more drugs for cancer treatment.

– Reduced customs duty on mobile phones, related parts, and chargers.

– Discounts on X-ray tubes.

– Duty on mobile phones and chargers reduced by 15%.

– Duty on 25 critical minerals abolished.

– Reduced duty on fish feed.

– Cheaper domestically-produced leather, textiles, and shoes.

– Duty on gold and silver reduced by 6%.

– Duty on platinum reduced to 6.4%.

 

More Expensive:

– Increased import duty on plastic goods.

– Increased customs duty on petrochemicals and ammonium nitrate.

– PVC imports see a 10-25% duty increase to reduce imports.

– Air travel has become more expensive.

– Cigarettes have also become more expensive.
