Gujarat HC sets aside CIC order giving information on Modi’s degrees, imposes Rs 25,000 fine on Kejriwal

New Delhi: The Gujarat High Court has set aside a seven-year-old order of the Central Information Commission (CIC) asking the Gujarat University to inform Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s degree.

Allowing Gujarat university’s appeal against the CIC’s order, Justice Biren Vaishnaw also imposed a cost of Rs 25,000 on Kejriwal and asked him to deposit the amount with the Gujarat State Legal Services Authority (GSLSA) within four weeks.
