Harbhajan Singh files FIR after social media spat over ‘Khalistan’ remark
Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has filed an FIR against an ‘X’ user after a heated exchange on the social media platform. The controversy began when a user criticized Hindi commentary, prompting Harbhajan to respond with “Angrezi ki Aulad.”
Another user, ‘Randomsena,’ accused Harbhajan of abusing the original poster and later challenged him to tweet “Khalistan Murdabad” to prove his patriotism.
Harbhajan responded by questioning the troll’s intentions, stating, “You are speaking ill of our Hindu brothers in Ayodhya. I suspect you to be a traitor more than your mental state.” The exchange escalated further when the troll alleged that Harbhajan was a supporter of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and a Khalistani.
Following the remarks, Harbhajan called out the user for using abusive language and stated, “Your foul language makes it clear that you are an intruder because the people of India do not talk like this. The abuses you hurled at me were recorded, and the FIR has been filed.”
