Haryana Sports Minister and Olympian Sandeep Singh quits over sexual harassment case

Chandigarh: Haryana Sports Minister and Olympian Sandeep Singh resigned from his post on Sunday. On Sunday, it was revealed that a case of molestation has been registered against the woman coach in Chandigarh.

Former Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh met Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in the morning and submitted his resignation.
After resigning, Sandeep Singh said that an atmosphere is being created to tarnish my image. A junior women’s coach has levelled allegations against me. On moral grounds, I have handed over my sports department to the chief minister. The matter is under investigation. The chief minister will take the next decision only after the report of the matter comes.
