HC issues notice to Haryana government and Ram Rahim on plea filed by SGPC

Chandigarh: The SGPC has filed a petition in the parole case against Dera Sirsa chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. In this case, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued notices to the Dera chief and the Haryana government.

The SGPC’s petition said that the Haryana government has directly violated the rules by granting 40-day parole to Ram Rahim. Apart from sexual harassment, murder, the Dera chief is also facing cases under several serious sections in Punjab. Despite that, he is being repeatedly granted parole.
