Himachal Pradesh: Landslide on Manimahesh Marg; 12 roads closed

New Delhi: The Manimahesh road was closed due to a landslide in Bharmour area of Chamba district today. After this, the slopes fell on the road from Chamba to Manimahesh, but there was no loss of life and property.

A video in this regard has also gone viral which has been filmed between Goi and Dunali. The Manimahesh Yatra begins on August 17 and continues till September 15.

Devotees and tourists also travel beyond these dates. The state’s Emergency Operation Centre said 12 roads, including five in Shimla, four in Mandi and three in Kangra, have been closed for traffic following heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh.

At present, light rains are continuing across the state. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert, predicting heavy rain and thundershowers in Shimla and adjoining areas on Friday and Saturday.
