Himachal Roadways bus attacked in Mohali, police launch probe

Chandigarh: A Himachal Pradesh Roadways bus was attacked in Kharar, Mohali district, on Tuesday evening.

According to the driver, two men in an Alto car intercepted the bus on the Kharar flyover, signaled it to stop, and then smashed its glass panes with sticks before fleeing the scene.

The bus was en route from Chandigarh to Hamirpur when the incident occurred. Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the attackers.

Recently, images from Himachal Pradesh showed an argument between locals and Punjabi youths carrying pictures of Nishan Sahib and Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale on their motorcycles.

While there is no direct connection between the two incidents, concerns have been raised about possible tensions between the two states.
