Hockey: India beat Ireland 2-0

Paris: India defeated Ireland 2-0 in their Pool B hockey match at the Paris Olympics today. Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored both the goals for the Indian team.

The first goal came from a penalty stroke in the 11th minute and the second goal came in the 19th minute with a penalty corner. This was India’s third match. India had defeated New Zealand 3-2 in their first match and drew 1-1 against Argentina.
