Home ministry seeks prosecution of AAP leader Satyendar Jain under Civil Defence Code

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has requested the President to grant sanction for the prosecution of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain under Section 218 of the Indian Civil Defence Code, 2023. This move marks a significant setback for Jain.

According to sources, the Home Ministry has also authorized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to prosecute Jain in a money laundering case.

The request for his arrest has been made as part of the legal proceedings.

Jain, who previously served as a minister in the Delhi government, now faces mounting legal challenges amid the ongoing investigation.
