INDIA bloc holds protest at Jantar Mantar for Kejriwal’s release

New Delhi: Leaders of the INDIA bloc today staged a protest at Jantar Mantar here demanding the release of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in view of his deteriorating health, accusing the BJP-led central government of “suppressing” the voice of the opposition.

They blamed the Central government for the death of three civil services preparing students due to waterlogging in the basement of old Rajinder Nagar here.

Slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Tanshahi Murdabad’ were raised during the protest. Speaking on the occasion, CPIML (Liberation) leader Dipankar Bhattacharya said that three senior AAP leaders Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are in jail as part of a conspiracy.

They said people will give a befitting reply to the BJP during the assembly elections in Haryana, Maharashtra and Jharkhand.

AAP leader Gopal Rai said Kejriwal’s sugar level has dropped several times after his detention. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal, NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar and Deputy Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi were also present at the rally.
