India clinches second consecutive Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup with dominant win over South Africa

New Delhi: India secured their second straight Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup title with a commanding nine-wicket victory over South Africa.

The defending champions, who remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, chased down the 83-run target in just 11.2 overs, finishing at 84 for one with 52 balls to spare.

Gongadi Trisha led India’s batting with an unbeaten 44 off 33 balls, while Sanika Chaalke contributed 26* off 22. The duo shared a 48-run partnership for the second wicket, sealing India’s flawless campaign.

Earlier, Trisha also starred with the ball, taking three wickets for 15 runs. South Africa was bowled out for 82 in 20 overs, struggling against India’s disciplined bowling attack.

Parunika Sisodia (2/6), Ayushi Shukla (2/9), and Vaishnavi Sharma (2/23) delivered crucial breakthroughs.

With this victory, India became the first team to win the tournament without losing a single match.
