Indian armed forces on high alert after precision strikes across border

New Delhi: The Indian armed forces have placed all air defence installations in the western sector on full alert following precision strikes on terror launch pads across the border on the night of May 6–7. The move comes amid concerns over a possible retaliation by Pakistan.

Sources said that the Border Security Force has intensified ground surveillance to prevent infiltration and monitor suspicious activity near the Line of Control.

The Indian Air Force has activated its radar systems and deployed anti-aircraft weapons, while keeping security personnel on standby at key locations.

Naval warships are also patrolling to safeguard Indian airspace as part of the heightened state of readiness.
