“Jai Hindu Rashtra”, saya BJP MP Chhatrapal Gangwar after taking oath, sparks controversy
New Delhi: The oath-taking ceremony of MPs for the 18th Lok Sabha is underway. Meanwhile, Chhatrapal Gangwar, Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, said Jai Hindu Rashtra after taking oath.
After this there was an uproar in Parliament. The opposition said that such a thing cannot be said by taking oath of the Constitution. It is anti-constitutional.
Not only this, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also opposed it.
Earlier, Ghaziabad MP Atul Garg hailed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar after taking oath.
