Karnataka’s yoga guru arrested for raping Punjabi NRI woman

New Delhi: A yoga guru was arrested here on Wednesday for allegedly raping a Punjabi NRI woman, police said. The arrested accused has been identified as Pradeep Ullal (54) of Kewala Foundation located at Malenahalli in this district.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim, the accused convinced her that he had a relationship with the victim in his previous life as well, police said.

The victim hails from Punjab and is currently a resident of California in the US.

The victim alleged that she visited the yoga guru’s ashram thrice between 2021 and 2022, where she was sexually assaulted.
