Kolkata violence: CBI frames rape, murder charges against former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital

New Delhi: The CBI today registered a case against Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, has been arrested and charged with rape and murder. Ghosh is currently in judicial custody in connection with a corruption case.

An official of the investigating agency said that the agency has also arrested Abhijit Mandal, the officer-in-charge of Tola police station,. He has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the rape and murder of a junior doctor at Kar Hospital. The hospital falls in the area under Tola police station.
