Kunal Kamra’s show sparks controversy, Shiv Sena activists vandalise Mumbai club
Mumbai: Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra has once again found himself at the center of controversy after a legal and political stir erupted against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde over alleged objectionable remarks.
During his show ‘Naya Bharat’ at ‘The Unicontinental Club’ in Mumbai, Kamra performed a parody of the film Dil To Pagal Hai, using the word ‘traitor’ without directly naming Shinde. The Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction viewed the act as insulting.
On Sunday, party activists vandalised the club in Khar, damaging chairs, lights, and the entry gate. They accused Kamra of attempting to tarnish their leader’s image.
