Lakhimpur Kheri violence witness’s brother attacked, police register case under Section 307

Lakhimpuri Kheri: The brother of a witness to the Lakhimpur violence was allegedly attacked by the youth. The attack on Friday night had nothing to do with the violence of 2021, police said today. The injured, Sarvjit Singh, is the brother of Prabhjit Singh.

In hia complaint, the victim alleged that he was attacked when he had gone to attend his friend’s party in Tikunia.
The accused Vikas Chawla along with his accomplice attacked him with sharp weapons, injuring him. An FIR has been registered under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC on the complaint of the victim, police said.
