Lok Sabha election 2024 dates likely to be announced on March 14-15

New Delhi: The dates for the Lok Sabha elections may soon be announced, with sources suggesting a possible announcement around March 14-15.

It is reported that the Election Commission is in the final stages of preparation for the elections and is currently assessing readiness in various states.

On Monday, the full bench of the Election Commission (EC) met with political party representatives in West Bengal to evaluate preparations for the upcoming elections.

The Congress, along with its opposition alliance partners, is actively finalizing seat-sharing agreements.

Meanwhile, the BJP has already released its first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, which includes names of several veteran leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP’s list comprises 195 candidates, while the Congress is yet to release its list of candidates.
