Lok Sabha Elections: PM Modi to contest from Varanasi
New Delhi: The BJP today released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP has announced candidates for 51 Lok Sabha seats in UP, 20 in West Bengal, five in Delhi, one each in Goa and Tripura.
The BJP has included 28 women and 47 youths in its first list of candidates from 16 states and union territories.
The list of 195 candidates includes the names of 34 Union ministers, two former ministers and the Lok Sabha Speaker.
