LPG cylinder explodes due to fireworks during wedding, 6 members of family killed in fire

Darbhanga: Six members of a family and three animals were killed in a fire that broke out during a wedding in Antore village of the district on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

The fire was reported at around 11.15 am, following which the fire brigade rushed to the spot. The fire was brought under control after a lot of efforts.

Chhagan Paswan’s daughter was married last night at Antor village under Behera police station area of Alinagar block of Darbhanga district, villagers said.

Arrangements were made for the stay and food of the wedding guests in the residential complex of Ramchandra Paswan. The wedding guests burst fireworks there, which led to the tent catching fire. Due to the fire, the LPG cylinder kept there exploded.
