Mahakumbh a message of unity and harmony, says PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the upcoming Mahakumbh in Prayagraj as a symbol of unity and appealed to citizens to foster harmony and eliminate hatred. Speaking during his monthly radio program Mann Ki Baat, Modi called the event the “Mahakumbh of Unity” and said, “Mahakumbh ka sandesh, ek ho poora desh” (The message of Mahakumbh is for the entire nation to unite).

The Mahakumbh, a grand religious gathering held every 12 years, begins on January 13. Modi highlighted its uniqueness, emphasizing its vastness and diversity as an example of “unity in diversity.”

The Prime Minister also touched on the upcoming Republic Day, which marks the 75th anniversary of India’s Constitution. Calling the Constitution a “guide” that has stood the test of time, he credited it for shaping his life and the nation’s journey. A new website, Constitution75.com, has been launched to connect people with the values and provisions of the Constitution.
