Mahashivaratri: Do not make these mistake in the worshipping Lord Shiva today

New Delhi: The festival of Mahashivratri is today. Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshiped on this day.

Do not use iron or steel utensils while offering water to Shivalinga. Instead, you use brass, silver. Buffalo milk should not be used even after forgetting in the consecration of Lord Shiva. Turmeric is not offered in the worship of Lord Shankar.
Bholenath does not like any other flowers except Kaner and Lotus. Shiva should not offer any red colored flowers, ketki and kevade flowers. By doing this, the fruit of worship is not obtained. According to the scriptures, Kumkum and Roli are not used in the worship of Shiva. Therefore, roli should never be offered on Shivling.
Mahashivaratri Puja (Shadopachar Puja)
According to the belief, Mahashivaratri should be worshiped along with Shodasachar Pujan. Along with this, Lord Shiva should be anointed with mantras with Gangajal. Along with this, belpatra, bhang, dhatura, fruits, sweets, clothes etc. should be offered.
