New Delhi: Five out of seven newly appointed ministers in Delhi, including Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, have declared criminal cases against them, according to an analysis by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).

The findings are based on affidavits submitted during the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections.

ADR reported that 71% of the ministers have criminal cases, with one, Ashish Sood, facing serious charges.

Additionally, two ministers—29% of the cabinet—are billionaires. The wealthiest minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa from Rajouri Garden, has declared assets worth Rs 248.85 crore.

The report also highlighted that 86% of the ministers hold graduate-level or higher educational qualifications, while one has studied up to Class 12.

In terms of age distribution, 71% of the ministers are between 41 and 50 years old, while the rest fall in the 51-60 age bracket.

The cabinet includes only one woman minister, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
